FINLAND: Pictures.
Remember when I said we got lost right near the train station? This is exactly where it was -- the train station in the middle of Helsinki, surrounded by buses. Don't mind them, they're very plentiful in this part of town.

I took my Scalemate to Finland. Also, I tried a Finnish soda, based on Moomins. It's pretty good! Berry-flavored.

Helsinki by night. This is mostly what we walk around in every day.

More of Helsinki by night, and also a shot of that Rubik's Cube I talked about.

Suomenlinna before the fog...

AFTER THE FOG. It covered everything, and made it completely impossible to see most things in front of you, unless they were rather close. This was taken from the other side of the bridge; the first picture was taken from on the bridge proper.

RACHEL'S LICKING ICICLES.

Really, I just wanted to look impressive beside the mini-cannons.

National Cathedral.

The view from the top of the Cathedral stairs!

As you can see, most of the harbors are frozen over. And it's not even the coldest it will be here, yet -- it'll get even colder in February, I've been told. Still, it makes for a pretty picture. Most of the time, the weather is just as cold and foggy as you see here.

Mom, I did promise you a picture of my new hat.
